Tre Jackson takes a seat along the wall in Doak as the Seminoles prepare for their 2nd scrimmage. Jimbo Fisher was pleased with the results of Wednesday's scrimmage saying, "Both sides probably won their share of situations … had their moments going back and forth, pretty competitive in the series. I thought, consistent football this time".
Jacob Coker and Jameis Winston continue the battle for the starting job as Fall camp begins winding down. The Seminoles scrimmaged for the 2nd time during camp Wednesday. Jimbo Fisher was pleased with the results of Wednesday's scrimmage saying, "Both sides probably won their share of situations … had their moments going back and forth, pretty competitive in the series. I thought, consistent football this time". The Seminoles open the season at Pittsburgh Labor Day night.
Can QB Jameis Winston be this year's Johnny Football? There is no question the young QB has the talent. Winston looks very much to be a born leader. While not yet battle tested he displays a calmness and control that, in my opinion, surpasses FSU's previous two quarterbacks already, both of whom were 1st round selections in the NFL draft. It remains to be seen if that same leadership, command, and talent displayed on the practice field can translate to Saturday game day... There's no doubt it will be fun to watch.
